TITLE: 20. Kung Fu Panda 3 - Death Race. (PART 2 OF 2)
The Building Of The Damned.
The big building looked like your normal big building used for storing anything from food to weapons, anything you could think of, this place stored it. It has a first floor with a balcony walk-way in the centre to get from one side to the other. You could see barrels of drink, as well as bags of wheat, etc that were stored up there as you went in.
But this building... stored death, and it was dead quiet.
As we all looked round nervously, holding our breath and trying to listen for any sudden moves, you could close your eyes if you were brave enough to and hear to what had happened in here. You could hear the screams of excruciating pain from both being slowly killed to death by Jin's own hands, to the sounds of weeping, to the sounds of everyone nearly crapping themselves if they had already.
I (Tigress) stayed close to Liu, staying beside her the whole entire time as we surveyed the place, looking for Jin Chow. The place felt like it got cold on a hot summer's day, and the more we ventured in... the colder it got.
Then came the dead, 23 of various species hanging from ropes from the floor above from the balcony in the middle of the building with their necks broken and throats slit.
"He knew we'd be coming, he knew we'd be coming." Hào Chong said in Chinese so that us two could understand what was being said.
"...You've done this before, mum?" Liu said, gazing up at me for a few seconds before continuing to look ahead.
"You must be joking!" I replied in a joking tone. The sight of blood smeared on the walls, the dead hanging, and it being deathly silent made us all shiver and make sounds.
"Shh, listen!" Míng Fu said extremely quiet-like.
"What's making you stay so strong sweetheart?" I had to ask, mostly to keep us all from screaming and running out in freight.
"Right now Tigress, I'm actually thinking about my panther family, and them watching and guiding me through this. Oh yeah, they say 'Hi, you're doing a great job too!' and believe me, they're helping!" She said, and I shook my head.
"That's nice sweetheart!" I said to help ease her anxiety, and mine as well.
The guards outside went further away from where we were, exposing the possible exits to an easy escape. After looking round the ground floor, we went up to upstairs. The first thing we did was to go on the balcony and cut the ropes to the dead. There wasn't enough time from being on alert to help lower them with dignity to the blood-stained floor below as they fell the last few feet.
Then, from out of nowhere... came the sound of some inhaling deeply, then exhale... and it wasn't one of us.
"YOU COLD BASTARD! SHOW YOURSELF!" Onslo screamed, then started to growl. His cry somehow rallied his friends, so then they too started to growl. Liu and I stayed scared stiff and shivery through fear. Our furs stood up on end as we all looked on the balcony.
"You like my work? Someday, all of this will be appreciated. Japan will be saved once more!" A voice carried through the building.
'YOU KILLED JAPAN, JUST LIKE YOU MURDERED OUR EMPEROR AND MY WIFE!" Onslo screamed. He waved is sword about trying to get every image of Jin slashed with it, hoping to draw some blood.
But don't you get it, Our 'Great Emperor' as you all like to call him still let our enemies in! Many people died, villages, cities destroyed! I watched as my family were tortured and killed in front of me when I was little. I swore revenge! I grabbed hold of a axe and hacked away... I tasted his blood as I watched him die just like I did my family. I then became... A cannibal! I joined the infantry soon afterwards, and soon rose through the ranks till I was under the command of our Great Emperor... yet the enemy came.
"SO THIS IS WHAT THIS MADNESS IS ALL ABOUT, YOUR FAMILY GETTING MURDERED LIKE YOU'RE DOING OTHERS?!"
"... In a way, yes. But not only that, but helping to protect our great country, our Japan. And what did I get in return... attempted assassination! I butchered those who betray me and refused to kneel before our 'Great Emperor' Sao Yin. I ripped out his throat and protected Japan by wiping out villages who pose a threat to our homeland. Our Japan." Jin then made himself visible. He walked from the right-hand side on the first floor wielding a massive sword over his left shoulder, then glared towards us.
"YOU'RE NOT PROTECTING JAPAN YOU MORON! YOU'VE KILLED INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THE PROCESS! YES YOU'VE HELPED GET RID OF JAPAN'S ENEMIES, BUT NEIGHBORING VILLAGES FOR GOD'S SAKES?" Onslo yelled towards Jin as he lowered his weapon to Jin. He just looked back at him.
"Our enemies take shelter in neighboring villages or cities, so yes... they too must die."
"WHAT ABOUT THE ORPHANAGE, WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!" I screamed. Liu then yelled 'Yeah, what about my friends'.
'Neighboring countries pose a threat to Japan, so I saw a way to barter and trade with other countries. We trade our finest silks, goods, grains, etc. And in the process of doing so, invade it and kill most its powerful and strategic Colonels and Generals. China is first. When she knows what's happening, she will deploy her other, less experienced generals and will lose." Jin said in a cold manner. This made alarm bells ring for the rest of us.
"I thought you were trading goods and stuff, and when I saw those Red Dragon Restaurants appearing I thought you did what you did in Japan... Not a full blown invasion!" Zhuàng Yuan said, shocked at the prospect of what was actually happening and not what the wolves thought was happening.
"Are you really THAT stupid?! In the midst of trading and appearing to become an ally for China and wanting to form an alliance with China’s finest generals, after quite a while, some Chinese generals go missing, presumed missing in action or kidnapped as there is no body... Need I say any more, Onslo?" Jin said, then walked round looking at the building with blood on its walls, then back at us. All of us had our weapons ready to take him on.
"What about all the innocent blood you spilt? What about China's Leaders... Need they die too?" Hào Chong asked, lowering his weapon as Jin raised his.
"Yes. Any possible threat, deemed possible must be dealt with now so our families can live in peace. Sort out now, relax and mourn later." Jin replied. He then looked down at the corpses that laid on the floor, and an evil grin appeared on his face.
"Pity. You should've heard them scream when I slit their throats. To think that they'd be safe as they traded their lives for... Silk. My men, did what I ordered them to do... I had their limbs thrown into the river to scare our enemies as they venture forth, thinking they'll win. This is why we decimate a village on the return journey, this is why we attack and show no mercy... THIS IS HOW WE PROTECT JAPAN!" Jin roared towards us as we hurdled together with our weapons raised against him. I pushed my daughter behind me to make sure she didn't get hurt.
"We opposed against you you asshole! I went back for my wife and..."
"Treason results in death, Onslo. I would've preferred she'd still be alive and you be powerless unless you follow my command. If you did, she'd still be alive... Maybe not how you wanted her, but... How should I say it? Oh yeah! SAY HELLO TO YOUR WIFE!" Jin yelled, lowering his sword to strike and kill Onslo who was at the front commanding us. But Hào Chong pushed him out of the way of Jin's sword, making him fall to his side. Jin's blade struck Hào's left arm, almost severing it. Jin then stabbed him in the stomach before he had enough time to reach his severely wounded arm, and before Hào had time to kneel before Jin... Jin Chow beheaded him. His head rolled near where Onslo was laying.
"You were lucky this time Onslo... But your children will be next!" Jin screamed towards Onslo, now in a complete state of shock. Instead of trying to take on Jin Chow, alone, we all went towards the dead wolf. Liu screamed hysterically, looking at the friend now laying there in a pool of blood, now dripping through the gaps in the floorboards to the floor below.
Jin then quickly left, nowhere to be seen. He then grabbed hold of a torch deeper from within the building and chucked it towards some cloth. Soon, the back end of the building was set alight, we were in the middle in a complete state of shock.
"WE MUST TAKE HIM BACK! WE MUST TAKE HIM BACK!" Péng Chao screamed hysterically towards Onslo as he got to his feet clutching the side of his stomach where he hurt himself.
"LIU! MAKE SURE YOU CAN GET OUT OF HERE! I'LL HELP TO CARRY HIM! GO! GO!" I yelled towards Liu, now sobbing her heart out in a state of shock. As she stumbled from side to side through emotions, Onslo and I picked up our dead friend and made our way out of the building with the fire now getting closure, making sure what was left of Jin's work was charred for others to look at before properly burying them with dignity.
Some of the wolves with weapons drawn, tried to make sure there wasn't a surprise attack as we left. A few of the other wolves outside who were the closet to the building came rushing in and saw us two carrying the headless Hào Chong. Péng carried his head, but stopped when he saw a cloth bag big enough to put it in. When we eventually got outside, we couldn't help but look at the building as it burned. The images we all saw as we came here, the dead and dying laying outside as scared stiff soldiers chucked the limbs into the river. The blood stained walls on the walls, the sounds of screams.
We then struggled back, making sure we'd get back to the Jade Palace. The wolves assembled a circle around Onslo and I with their weapons drawn, protecting us from whatever Jin threw next... but luckily it never happened.
The closure we got to the Palace, passed the spot where we camped and Onslo's vision, Liu went off ahead, too sickened to look back. One by one, we threw up, traumatized from what had happened to poor Hào Chong, and us two absolutely covered in blood from head to foot. The path behind us was red. The Jade Palace was in sight... What laid ahead from know we weren't to sure. We had followed The Path Of The Rising Sun.
The Jade Palace's Tournament Grounds.
After carrying Hào to the top and putting him down in the centre, the staff came rushing over to check the what had happened. A few fainted in shock, and a few threw up. The wolves took off their armour in great haste, and I went over to check on my daughter who was standing by the dead body.
"Liu! You hurt, are you injured?" I asked as I knelt down at her height. Liu just looked at me sobbing her heart out and hugged me tightly.
"IT SHOULD'VE BEEN OVER! IT SHOULD'VE BEEN OVER!" She said through the tears, then went away from me. I removed her helmet before taking off mine and gently rubbed some of Hào's blood from me off her face. Liu then tried doing the same to me, only that I was covered in it.
"Stay here, I'll go and inform the others. We better take this armour off first, help take... our mind, off... it." I said to Liu. I then helped Liu take off her stuff before heading back to the Jade Palace. It didn't take long for Liu to follow.
The Jade Palace's Hall of Sacred Warriors.
When we got to the top with Liu opening the door stood everyone else with their heads bowed down in respect.
"We already know. Zeng told us." Said Shifu with his head still bowed, then looked up to see his daughter covered in Hào's blood looking mournful and damn angry.
"Its all right, its not my blood. The carnage... I... I think we better go back down. I think Onslo's going to cremate him soon." I said. Monkey then saw Liu crying without wailing and tried to comfort her the best he could. Liu cried into his arms. I just stormed out of the place, leaving the others to look after my daughter who then soon followed me down.
Back at The Tournament Grounds.
Hào Chong's body laid in the centre of the ground. The blood stained floor trying to be cleaned up by both the staff of The Jade Palace and the Wolves. Looking at what had happened made The Five, Shifu, and The Dragon Warrior Po turn their heads in horror. Liu sobbed her heart out after seeing what nobody should've seen left by Jin Chow's commands, and I bowed my head looking at the headless corpse growling.
"Master Shifu. I need more firewood and anything that can give off an intense heat... to cremate, him..." Onslo said who then started to shed tears.
Shifu didn't need to say anything! Soon, loads of scrap material from our training exercises as well as wood was presented in the centre. The body put on top.
"...Tigress, do you need help taking off the armour?" Po asked. I just glared at him, teeth baring, claws firmly out, and shook my head then looked back at Hào as the wood was set alight. I was too traumatized from seeing what I and Liu had seen for me to even bother taking it off. All I could think of was seeing a small village in ruins, the dead and dying littering the place with wolves hacking off pieces to throw into the river to warn others. I could hear just as it was happening Onslo saying to these wolves to join him in his campaign to destroy and overthrow Jin Chow of Japan... only for them to say don't be daft and helped to put to rest anyone else still alive before taking their lives for what they had been forced to do against their will.
The fire was building up and Hào was slowly starting to catch fire. I then thought about seeing the building with blood spilt nearly everywhere, hearing the screams in the dead silence as we entered, thinking we'd be able to finish this once and for all. The centre hung the dead with their throats slit from the middle walkway above. The men, women, even children. I then looked straight ahead as I remembered freeing everyone. The dead collapsing on the floor in the haste we cut the ropes as the rest looked for Jin watching our every move.
I then started to think about the orphanage's fire and trying to rescue my childhood family, the matrons and a new friends. I had started to growl. I then thought on where we took the survivors. I then began to contemplate on how Jin wants his enemies to lose what they hold most, wanting to feel how he feels... lost, and along. He had tasted the blood of the person who brutally tortured his family and village. He wanted us to taste hatred. To rip the soul apart.
By now, several people were looking at me as I watched Hào Chong slowly cook as he was being cremated. I was still wearing the Japanese Battle armour with my Katana still on me. The blood that I was drenched with I could feel slowly running down my arm till it started dripping from my claws. My face was smothered in Hào's blood and I could taste intense hatred.
The path of the rising sun.
The path of the waging fire.
The secret ingredient.
...And I could smell him cooking.
I quickly left, got out my Katana and made way for the Training Hall.
The Jade Palace's Training Hall.
I somersaulted down to the pit and saw the twelve Combatants ahead of me. I swung the katana in my paws and let go. The spinning sword penetrated the torso part of one of them, then I kicked it deeper. The power of my kick forced the dummy to crumple. I let out a hell of a mighty roar before heading towards the bathroom to clean myself and get out of the blood-soaked equipment.
When I eventually got to the bathroom, the bells rang. I knew instantly our goose staff would come in and take care of the cauldron for the baths. I walked up to the cauldron and looked into the mirror above it hanging on the wall near where the vases are. I looked into it, only to see my face completely covered in Hào Chong's blood, my teeth still baring like an angry Tiger, claws firmly out, fur on end. I could feel my eyes watering but was too focused being furious to take any notice. Soon, our staff came wondering in and five of them stood looking at me. One of them spoke.
"What?! What happened to you...Master..." He said. I slowly turned my head to face him. The remaining blood dripping onto the floor by the wood.
"I'm... fine! Just, look after the others, okay?" I said. The five came closure and saw me in an armour known of them had seen before, or me in.
"Here, let me take this off you Tigress." They politely said. I continued looking at myself in the mirror.
"GET... AWAY... FROM ME! IT'S NOT MY BLOOD I'M FINE THANKS!" I screamed, knocking over a few of the vases with my left arm. The Geese looked at the broken pieces.
"...Shall we..." One of them started to say before I stopped him from talking further.
"I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF THANKS! JUST TAKE CARE... OF MY DAUGHTER!" I screamed. The staff quickly bowed as they walked backwards, closing the door behind them. I then tried desperately to take the stuff off me, only to call the staff back to help. I then thanked them and got myself undressed.
I hadn't noticed that there was already some water in the cauldron that had been previously boiled. I then put some more water and lit the fire, then added more wood to the flames.
Wood and flames. It was all I could think of.
I then stripped myself till I was stark naked and looked down at my body just to see how much blood was on me. Somehow, I had some on my chest from where I had been helping to carry Hào's headless corpse, I had some on my tail and my arms were caked in it. I then held up my paws and could see my claws with some on from where it had dripped. I looked towards the cauldron, only thinking of what happens next in preparation in his 'Secret Ingredient' meals. I felt like kicking it over!
I then looked at the part where the water from the well comes through Bamboo and towards the end, hollowed at its end to allow more to spread when one is underneath for a horrible cold shower. They're nice on those really hot days, but this one felt immensely hot through what had happened.
I rang another pull to request water from the well as I stood underneath where the part for the shower would be. It wasn't long till stone-cold water came gushing down the pipes and hit my naked body. I yelled out as it hit me with some of the blood washing off. I pulled again for no more and watched as the bloody water went into the gulleys and outside, then got the water from the cauldron and to one of the baths, the water from the stone-walled storage tub to help cool it. I then put up three wooden screens to shield my nakedness from anyone else as well as privacy then got in.
It didn't take long for the bath water to turn red like blood.
Then, a familiar voice came my way... Po Ping.
"WHAT?" I yelled, still growling as I laid there reaching out for the soap.
"...Just wondering where you are, and how you are Tigress." There was a long pause.
"HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU KNOW PANDA, YOU WEREN'T THERE!"
"Liu.. told me." He said sympathetically.
"...HOW IS... She?"
"With the others, and with Viper and Monkey trying to cheer her up. Onslo's holding a meal for... remembrance later this evening." He replied, then sniffed.
The Jade Palace's Tournament Grounds - Later that evening.
The debris from the fire was cleaned up, both Chinese and Japanese food was presented, and both cultures did what they do when one passes on to the next life. Everyone was present and in formal clothing under orders by Onslo himself. My darling daughter was wearing the Blue Silk Dress and matching footwear we had brought from the Marketplace, and was considerably more cheerful. I was wearing all Silver with a Black gilded symmetrical pattern with black trousers, and was doing my best not to continue growling. I hadn't stopped since we got back.
Trying to embrace life, some of the wolves formed a band and started playing instruments, taking the knowledge of what had happened off our shoulders. They took it in turns with our staff doing it as well as we all tried to dance to cheer us up. Some of the wolves got drunk but were all happy and cheerful as Onslo looked on.
"You all right Liu?" He asked as she looked towards the drunkards.
"I'm fine thanks Onslo! I'm better than before and, er... do you guys get drunk often?" Liu asked, turning her head back towards Onslo.
"Jin Chow's way of celebrating... Our way of forgetting, which if you do it too often can make it worse. We've lost many great soldiers this way through him. How's your mum?"
"Check for yourself! She doesn't seem to be enjoying herself." Liu replied. I was speaking to Shifu at the time when my daughter came over to see how I was doing.
"Hi mum! How are you today?" Liu asked playfully, trying to cheer me up.
"Slightly better, still can't stop growling at times and stuff. You?"
"If you count having a party with The Legendary Furious Five, The Dragon Warrior Po Ping and some Japanese wolves as friends then I'm ecstatic! Just a shame Onslo's doing this under sad circumstances." I started baring my teeth again with the claws out.
"You can say that again sweetheart! Why don't you go and play with Onslo's kids and grab something to eat!" I said, then started to growl lightly.
"Are you sure you'll be all right mum?" She asked as I looked like I was going to massacre someone.
"I'll be... fine! Just, try not to bring it up again thats all." I replied then gave Liu a loving hug which seemed strange coming from a raging Tiger.
Liu went off and went to a buffet table full of both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The other Furious Five were getting plates full of some Japanese stuff as well as some Chinese as our staff and the catering Wolf soldiers made sure the food was there and ready.
Po had a lot on his plate, and had a second plate to which he gave me as I tried to mingle and chat to a few drunken wolves. Most were saying how well they knew Hào Chong whilst others just tried to have a great time.
"Thanks Po!" I said through clenched teeth. He then gave me a hug to try and calm me down.
"So er, enjoying the party...?" Po asked. I looked towards my daughter who was playing with the Wolf cubs.
"...I suppose, just..."
"You can't get it out of your head, can you Tigress."
"No I cannot! I'm trying to think of this of a normal celebration of Hào's life, as well as a funeral. It's hard, trying not to think of that asshole!" I said. Po had quickly grabbed hold of my plate before I swung my arm to throw it, then gave it back to me. I now growled loudly.
"Just, try and enjoy yourself Tigress. I'm sure you'll find something to make it better!" He said as Shifu came over to the two of us.
"Thats easy for you to say Panda, I mean Po, you didn't see what we saw... and this so called party? ARGH!" I gave Po my food before storming off to calm down, wiping my eyes as I went.
"Best give her some time to herself, but the company is helping Tigress. I fear Dominoes won't work for a while!" Shifu joked as he looked at Po, then towards me as I looked towards the night's sky.
Soon, Mantis and Viper came to check how I was and got me back into the crowed. Po gave me back my food which surprisingly hadn't been touched by him. It was late by the time we had all finished.
The Jade Palace's Barracks.
Everyone was in their rooms with Master Viper helping my daughter Liu Zhang get ready for bed. I wasn't present and nobody had seen me since the party had finished, not even the wolves!
"Poor Tigress. I haven't seen your mum like this before ever!" Viper said as Liu took off her dress and tucked it away in the chest of drawers nearest to the door and pulled out a plain dark green nightgown.
"It was..." Liu said, then started sobbing her heart out.
"There there Liu, we're here, we're here!" Viper said as she got herself on Liu's bed and patted her with her tail.
"How's my mum? Is she all right?" Liu asked, hoping that I'd be coming through the door any time soon. I hadn't.
"Its hit her hard, especially the..."
"I know where you mean!" Liu said, then wiped her eyes.
Then, Po stood by the door and watched Viper comforting Liu.
"Have you seen Tigress Viper?" He asked. Liu shook her head and Viper replied "No.". Po then came in and looked at the bedside chest of drawers with the figurings on top, then sat on Tigress's bed and look towards the two.
"Ever since your mum the great Master Tigress came back from the orphanage and first saw you, she came back different. She has a soft spot for children that she'll deny and it tore her apart when her home was on fire. Your mum wanted to adopt you pretty much straight away when she got back, and even said that you remind Tigress of me... from your Kung Fu stuff and all." Po said, which cheered Liu up tremendously. She then gave him a hug as Viper watched.
"Do you want me to sleep here till your mum comes back?" Viper asked. Liu then looked towards Viper, then at the door.
"If you wouldn't mind, yes please!"
Viper then got off Liu's bed and went to collect her stuff from her room. She was asked if she had seen Tigress since the party by the Five, to which Viper said that she hadn't seen her friend either. After Viper got back, Po had tucked Liu into bed, stroked her head, and said that if she needed anything, his door would be open. After exchanges of saying goodnight and with it being ever so late, it didn't take long for everyone to fall asleep.
Outside the Jade Palace's Barracks.
I was wondering around the back of the Barracks, growling and yawning. All I could think about was the parts being chucked into the river, the wolves mercifully ending the lives of all at the village of Oi Fuji Un, the building which contained the dead hanging corpses, and the death of Hào Chong after saving Onslo Kretch.
Since I tried to kill Po after the orphanage caught fire under Jin Chow, what recent things I saw made me feel unpredictable! I feel like I would brutally slaughter someone because I couldn't take the image of Jin Chow out of my head.
After a while of walking, yawning, and growling both lowly and loudly at times, I sat myself down and looked towards the sky. I knew Onslo would be asking his wife for help, saying that this is what he did when she was murdered for Treason in the eyes of Jin Chow. One of his best mates that was there from the beginning, died whilst trying to protect his friend... And we saw what happened to him. Just thinking how he died made me have my fur stand on end again with my claws out time over time again. Eventually after nearly closing my eyes for mere seconds and nearly falling backwards from shear tiredness, I surrendered to the entrance of our barracks.
I looked up at it growling, fur on end, claws out, trying to calm down. The noise I was making would surely wake up the others. Ultimately, I entered.
As I growled walking down the corridor, the others peeped outside their rooms just to check how I was, and to say I was making way too much noise even though they didn't say a word.
I stood outside my door with both mine and Po's being open, glaring into the distance as I tried desperately to cleanse my mind of that asshole. I could see him, I could smell him, and I could almost certainly feel his presence.
I looked towards Po, laying in his bed who was overlooking Liu and Viper in my room. Po then looked at me and I looked like somebody had really made me furious, that furious that that somebody will have to pay in blood.
"...We have never seen you like this, Tigress!" Po says as I glare at him.
"Me neither Po, me neither. Goodnight, Dragon Warrior." I say to him before looking into my room and seeing Viper comforting my daughter.
As I enter, I stare towards the window, then support myself by resting my arms on the end of my bed. My claws dig deep as I see what we saw happening in my mind. Both Liu and Viper watch as I then start to get undressed, ready for bed.
"Thank you for looking after her Viper. Are you all right sweetheart?" I ask through baring teeth, still growling as I start to take off my trousers.
"Yes thanks mum! Both Viper and Po have helped to cheer me up." She said as Viper kept watch over her friend.
"If only you'd seen what we saw earlier, you'll be furious too!" I say towards Viper as I sit on my bed with my red top still on. Then, I gaze at the figurings on the drawers, only to wipe the top in anger.
"Tigress, now that you're back, do you want me to stay in here for the night or do you think you two will be alright?" Viper asks. Liu sits up in her bed and I look at her.
"Stay. It's nice to have support around. I know Onslo will have..." I say towards her, not finishing what I was saying as I just thought about the cremation of Hào Chong. Liu then tucks herself back in and Viper blows out the candle.
I stand up to take the rest of my clothes and get into bed wearing only my underwear. My blood-stained fur that has not yet washed off can be seen in what little light in the room.
"Goodnight, and... thanks!" I say as I lay on my right-hand side of my body with my back facing Liu. I hadn't noticed that they and everyone else was fast asleep already.
Outside the Jade Palace's Barracks — Much later that night.
Each time I was actually able to fall asleep, I woke myself up from my own growling, but lowly. I tossed and turned trying to get comfortable. Having seen the dead and dying at Oi Fuji Un made my semi-unconscious mind feel like I was amongst them, seeing the torn wolves being forced to chuck what was left into the river. Being in this state of mind, I kicked in rebellion to avoid having parts of me being thrown into the river as well... only to kick my blanket off me and onto Master Viper who was still fast asleep.
"Sorry!" I quietly whisper to her. Viper just looks up as I remain still.
"I understand Tigress." Viper says. She then gets out from underneath her blanket on the floor and checks up on Liu, who has both eyes slightly open looking at both Masters.
"Honestly, I can't see how you can!" I replied to her, then heard a voice from Liu.
"Can't you sleep mum?" Liu asks sleepily.
"Not really. I've heard you sniff as you slept, so... can you?"
"Yeah, just waking up at times thats all. How about you Viper? Viper?..." Liu asked, then looks down and sees Master Viper fast asleep. I retrieve my blanket from her and having very little affect in waking her again and kiss Liu on the lips goodnight.
"Try and fall to sleep sweetheart. We need to sort out this Jin problem!" I quietly say only to her. After a brief while, I was finally able to get some shut-eye.
In my mind, I was puzzled on what tomorrow might bring.
